Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER) announced that Amlogic, Inc., a leading
fabless video, imaging and audio processing semiconductor company, has
selected the J750Ex™ for its next-generation
processor device test. In a competitive review process, Amlogic’s
selection of the J750Ex was based on gaining superior test economics by
achieving high multi-site efficiency while running next generation
devices at full functional speed. The selection was also based on
Teradyne’s large installed base of J750 test
systems at subcontractors, enabling a quick ramp to high-volume
production with the new J750Ex Instrument Suite.
"Specifying the J750Ex was a clear choice for
us,” said Joe Chen, vice president of
operation, Amlogic. "Transferring existing
programs from the J750 to the new J750Ex Instruments was seamless.
Within hours, using the same test program and DIB, we were up and
running at full functional speed with the advantage of improved test
time, test coverage, and parallel efficiency.” "The J750 platform, with its new J750Ex
Instrument Suite, delivers a unique combination of high performance
digital and mixed signal capability coupled with a floor saving compact
design and high parallel test efficiency,”
said Ian Lawee, marketing segment manager, Teradyne. "Targeting
a wide range of extremely cost sensitive devices, ranging from smart
cards to microcontrollers to audio-video processors, the J750Ex
Instrument Suite allows seamless migration to both high performance and
high site count throughput.”
