Andy Bryant, president of Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a
business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has been named
among the "Top 25 Channel Sales Leaders of 2009” by Everything Channel’s
CRN, a trade publication covering information technology distribution.
Bryant was recognized for leadership in navigating Arrow ECS through the
difficult economic environment of 2009 while also further advancing the
distributor’s midmarket program, developing Web-based tools such as an
online shopping cart for marketing campaigns and the MyArrow portal, and
providing data analytics, education and support to enable resellers to
pursue new markets.
"I congratulate Andy on this well-deserved recognition,” said Michael J.
Long, chief executive officer of Arrow Electronics. "Andy has put in
place innovative programs to both assist resellers through the
challenging economy and position them for growth in the future.”
A 28-year veteran of the IT channel, Bryant is an advocate for the
value-added distribution model. Establishing Arrow ECS as the prototype,
he is championing the evolution of IT distributors toward what he has
termed a "channel management” model. Through the channel management
model, distributors increase their focus around channel development
support, such as training and education, business development, financing
and engineering support; market development activities that generate
leads for resellers and pursue new vertical markets; and services that
help resellers capture more revenue.
Bryant’s inclusion as a top channel sales leader was published in the
Nov. 30 issue of CRN featuring the "Top 100 Most Influential Executives
in the Industry.” The list also is available at www.channelweb.com.
The list was compiled by CRN editors.
