Avnet Electronics Marketing Announces 2009 Supplier Excellence Award Recipients

The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (EMA) business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has honored six of its interconnect, passive and electromechanical (IP&E) suppliers with its 2009 Avnet EMA Supplier Excellence Award. The awards recognize AVX, Bourns, Emerson Network Power, Murata, NIC and Taiyo Yuden as Avnet’s top IP&E suppliers for Fiscal 2009.

The Avnet EMA Supplier Excellence Awards recognize the company’s top IP&E performers for year-on-year sales growth, their ease of doing business, and the marketing support they provided to customers between July 2008 and June 2009. The awards were presented during the first half of Avnet’s Fiscal 2010 to each of the six suppliers in recognition of this achievement.
