Avnet,
Inc. (NYSE:AVT) today announced the election of three new corporate
officers. Jeff Bawol, president, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas;
MaryAnn Miller, chief human resources officer, Avnet, Inc.; and Rusty
Murdaugh, group finance officer, Avnet Technology Solutions, have all
been elected as new corporate vice presidents for Avnet, Inc.

Jeff
Bawol was promoted to president of Avnet Technology Solutions,
Americas, in May 2008. Bawol has 30 years of experience at Avnet, 11
with Avnet Technology Solutions and 19 with Avnet Electronics Marketing.
In 2003, he was tapped to lead the Enterprise Software and Storage
Solutions group for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, as senior vice
president and general manager. Under his leadership, the group
experienced a 42 percent CAGR over three years and expanded its line
card significantly. Prior to that, Bawol served as vice president and
general manager, Avnet Partner Solutions, Intel Architecture Business
Unit. A recipient of Avnet’s Chairman's Award in 2003, he began his
career with Avnet in 1977 as a customer service representative with
Hamilton Avnet Electronics and has served in a variety of positions,
including inside sales, field sales, general manager, area vice
president and regional vice president. He reports to Avnet Technology
Solutions Global President Phil Gallagher and serves on the Avnet Global
Executive Council.
As chief human resources officer for Avnet, Inc., MaryAnn
Miller has responsibility for global human resources and
organizational development. She reports to Roy Vallee and serves on both
the Avnet Executive Board and the Avnet Global Executive Council.
Miller, who was promoted to her position in 2009, previously served as
senior vice president, global human resources, a post she held since
July 2008, after two years with Avnet as vice president of talent and
organizational effectiveness, with responsibility for global talent
management, performance management and employee development. Miller
continues to make significant contributions to Avnet's brand, culture
and employee programs, most notably in developing a comprehensive,
integrated organizational development initiative that enables Avnet to
attract, develop and engage the best employees. She was awarded the
Avnet Chairman's Award in 2009 for leading her team to remarkable
strides in people practices across Avnet. Miller's career includes more
than 25 years of experience in human resources and operations management
in insurance, banking and wireless communications.
Rusty
Murdaugh serves as group finance officer for Avnet Technology
Solutions and is responsible for implementing corporate financial
policies and formulating strategic financial direction for Avnet
Technology Solutions globally. In addition, he provides financial
planning, analysis and strategic counseling on business initiatives.
Murdaugh has helped drive improved return on working capital for Avnet
Technology Solutions through strong business partnerships and a team
approach to finance strategies. He joined Avnet Technology Solutions in
2008 from Goodrich Corp., where he most recently served as vice
president of finance for its Interiors businesses. Prior to that, he was
vice president of finance, IT, contracts and pricing for Goodrich's
Universal Propulsion Company, and business unit director, director of
operations and controller for its Avionics & Lighting Systems unit. He
held a number of financial leadership roles with Honeywell's Space
Systems Group before joining Goodrich and has a breadth of financial and
international business experience. He reports to Avnet Chief Financial
Officer Ray Sadowski.
