Danske Capital is the latest of several international investment
management companies deciding to deploy SimCorp Dimension’s solutions
for the front office. Danske Capital has been a SimCorp client since
1998, primarily using back and middle office functionality. The company
expects to reap valuable benefits from using SimCorp Dimension
front-to-back.
"We know that our choice of IT platform is key to gaining a global,
competitive advantage. In the front office it has been important for us
to get a multi asset trading platform including electronic trading and
with fast system response, even when processing large client/transaction
volumes. Equally important has been to get a system that will help us
standardise and streamline workflows across the countries we operate in.
We have found SimCorp’s front office suite to be the solution to all of
that,” says Kurt Hangaard, COO at Danske Capital.
"Going forward SimCorp Dimension’s front office suite will enable us to
constantly monitor and tune workflows according to our KPIs, across both
front and middle office. Furthermore, with the integration to SimCorp
Dimension’s middle- and back-office functionality, we also benefit from
the straight-through-processing capability, for instance electronic
broker confirmation,” Kurt Hangaard continues.
More than 100,000 man-hours go into the development and upgrade of each
half-yearly SimCorp Dimension release, a lot of this has been invested
in the front office solution.
"Today’s increasingly complex financial market environment puts great
demands on front office processing workflows. If you want to efficiently
manage risk and cost in this environment, a cutting-edge front office
solution is indispensable. Seeing large investment management firms
beginning to deploy SimCorp’s upgraded front office suite is a
confirmation to us that we offer the right solutions to support our
clients in gaining a competitive advantage,” says Peter Ravn, CEO at
SimCorp.
And he continues: "SimCorp has always been very strong in the back and
middle office areas. Our upgrade of the front office offering positions
SimCorp as a strong provider of a fully modular and flexible enterprise
solution that can be configured to support the client’s entire
investment management process or selected parts of it.”
