announced today that Dr. Jiren Liu has been appointed to serve as a
member of the Company's Board of Directors. Dr. Liu will serve under
this appointment until December 2012, at which time he will stand for
reelection to the Board through the Company's normal process.
Dr. Liu is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of technology
solutions provider Neusoft Corporation of Shenyang, China. Established
in 1991, Neusoft is the first listed software solutions company and the
largest technology solution and product design engineering services
provider in China. With more the 16,000 employees, Neusoft has a
comprehensive engineering, marketing and service network in over 40
cities across China, as well as subsidiaries in the U.S., Europe, and
Japan. Dr. Liu is a professor and vice president at Northeastern
University China, serves as vice-chairman of the China Software Industry
Association, and is a standing member of Chinese Association of
Automation. He has been awarded numerous honors including the National
Award for Excellence in Science and Technology, China Best Business
Leader, and CNBC’s prestigious award Asia Innovator of the Year.
The Company also announced that three members of its Board were
reelected to three-year terms at its December 8, 2009 annual meeting.
These include Dinesh C. Paliwal - Harman International Chairman,
President and CEO; Edward H. Meyer – former President, Gray Global
Group; and Gary Steel - Member of the Group Executive Committee, ABB Ltd.
