GAMCO Investors, Inc. (GAMCO) awarded the Graham & Dodd, Murray,
Greenwald Prize for Value Investing to Erin Bellissimo, an adjunct
professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Business during its
twenty sixth annual client conference on Friday in New York.
GAMCO created the annual prize to honor an individual, student, or
practitioner who has made an outstanding contribution to enlarge the
field of value investing. Known as the "Gabelli Prize”, the company
funded the prize with $1 million and makes the award at its annual
client meetings.
Erin Bellissimo was formerly the Director of the Heilbrunn Center for
Graham & Dodd Investing at Columbia where she developed the value
investing curriculum for the Business School Program as well as other
initiatives. She is currently co-authoring the second edition of Value
Investing: From Graham to Buffett and Beyond with Professor Bruce
Greenwald. She is a principal and co-founder of Linden Global
Strategies, a wealth management consulting firm. Ms. Bellissimo
completed her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University with a BS in
Management and holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania.
Bruce C.N. Greenwald, who heads the Heilbrunn Graham & Dodd Research
Center at The Columbia University Graduate School of Business, presented
the award to Ms. Bellissimo.
