BAE Systems, Inc. has named Erin Moseley as senior vice president for
Government Relations. The appointment will become effective July 11,
2011.
Erin will succeed Bob Fitch, who announced in April his plans to retire.
In this role, she will assume responsibility for all government
relations activities for the company’s U.S. home market, overseeing BAE
Systems, Inc.’s relationships with members of Congress, the Department
of Defense and other Cabinet-level organizations. Erin will also oversee
Government Relations staffs across the organization in working with
state government leaders.
"Erin’s vast industry knowledge, experience and relationships will prove
a tremendous asset to our organization as we strive to meet the changing
needs of government customers facing rapidly shifting budget and
security challenges,” said Linda Hudson, President and CEO of BAE
Systems, Inc. "Bob Fitch has served the defense and intelligence
communities with distinction for more than 40 years. I’d like to extend
a special thanks to him for his tireless dedication to our company, our
industry and our country.”
Erin most recently served as the president of Principled Strategic LLC,
a consulting firm she founded in Washington, D.C. Previously she held
senior government relations positions at Lockheed Martin and General
Dynamics and served as managing director of Porton Capital Washington.
Prior to joining the defense industry, Erin served as special adviser to
the deputy director of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, a
role in which she provided technical and policy guidance. She began her
career with the U.S. Department of Energy as an internal safeguards
analyst for nuclear weapons and material.
