Frontier Airlines Offers Lowest Fares of the Year


All of Frontier’s animals are coming home to Colorado today to celebrate one of their favorite holidays, Colorado Day. For the 16th year, the Denver-based carrier will celebrate the anniversary of Colorado’s statehood with the lowest fares of the year! Frontier Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:RJET), today launched the four-day fare sale with fares as low as $29* each way. Sale-priced tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 4, 2010, for travel through Nov. 17, 2010.

"Frontier Airlines was born and bred in the beautiful state of Colorado more than 16 years ago,” said Ian Arthur, vice president of marketing and branding. "Denver is our largest operating hub and thousands of our employees call this great state home. We couldn’t think of a better way to honor the 134th anniversary than to offer the absolute lowest fares to and from our Colorado destinations.”

Fares shown are for off-peak travel (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday); slightly higher fares apply to travel on other days. Fares are each way. Seats are limited at these fares and certain flights and/or days of travel may be unavailable, especially during busy travel periods. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but may be reissued for up to a $100 change fee (depending on the fare type purchased) as well as a possible fare increase to a non-promotional fare type. Previously purchased tickets may not be exchanged for these special fare tickets. For Frontier flights, flight segment(s) must be cancelled prior to scheduled departure time or the ticket(s) and all monies will be forfeited.

Fares shown reflect purchase at frontierairlines.com or midwestairlines.com. Tickets purchased on Frontier’s website must be paid for with a major credit card at the time the reservation is made. Depending on the fare type purchased, a $20 fee may be charged each way for the first piece of checked baggage and a $30 fee for the second piece of checked baggage. Fares do not include passenger facility fees of up to $9 each way, the September 11th Security Fee of up to $5 each way, or fees of $3.70 per segment (one takeoff/one landing). Fares to/from Alaska do not include arrival/departure tax of $8.10 each way.

U.S. Flights
Fares are each way and require a 14-day advance purchase for off-peak travel August 24 through November 17, 2010. Service to/from Branson, Newport News and Fort Myers is less than daily. Milwaukee-Hartford service begins September 27, 2010. Milwaukee-Atlanta nonstop service ends September 6, 2010; Denver-Rapid City service ends September 7, 2010; Denver-Fairbanks seasonal service ends September 11, 2010; Denver-Jackson Hole seasonal service ends September 12, 2010; Denver-Aspen service ends September 30, 2010; Denver-Anchorage seasonal service ends October 10, 2010; and Denver-Green Bay nonstop seasonal service ends October 22, 2010.

Mexico Flights
Fares are each way for off-peak travel Monday-Thursday (based on date of international flight segment) August 24 through November 17, 2010. Kansas City-Cancun seasonal service begins October 16, 2010; Denver-Cozumel seasonal service and Kansas City-Puerto Vallarta nonstop seasonal service begin October 23, 2010; and Denver-Mazatlan seasonal service begins October 24, 2010. Service to/from Mexico may be less than daily. Maximum stay for Mexico travel is 120 days. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes. Agricultural, immigration and customs fees of up to $75 each way are not included. Passports are required for international travel.
