Horizon Air announced today that Mark Eliasen will be joining the
company as its vice president of finance. He brings more than 25 years
of both corporate and consulting experience to the position.
Eliasen, who will be responsible for all of Horizon’s core
finance-related activities, will start his new position Sept. 14 and
report directly to Jeff Pinneo, president and CEO.
"We’re thrilled to be adding a person of Mark’s caliber and experience
to our leadership team,” Pinneo says. "His diverse finance experience
with several organizations, both as senior executive and as a
consultant, have prepared him well for the challenges and opportunities
of this role.”
Most recently, Eliasen practiced in the Puget Sound area as an
independent corporate finance consultant in the technology,
manufacturing and service industries. This required him to assess the
financial health of companies and develop strategies for improving their
profitability.
Before that, he served as assistant treasurer for WRQ (now Attachmate),
a high-ranking connectivity software company headquartered in Seattle,
and as director of finance for Everett, Wash.-based Intermec
Technologies, a leading manufacturer of barcode systems.
A certified public accountant, Eliasen holds a master’s degree in
business administration from the University of Washington and a
bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash.
