Humana Announces Date of 2012 Annual Stockholders’ Meeting

Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) today announced that its Annual Stockholders' Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. eastern time at the company's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. The record date for the 2012 annual meeting of stockholders will be February 27, 2012. The company will web cast its annual stockholders' meeting for those unable to attend the event in person.

In early March 2012, the proxy statement for the 2012 annual meeting and the 2011 Annual Report to Stockholders will be available via the Internet. Humana stockholders also may obtain hard copies of the company's proxy materials for the 2012 annual meeting free of charge by following the instructions provided on the company's website or in the "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials" that will be mailed to stockholders in early March 2012.

The webcast of the company's annual meeting of stockholders may be accessed via the Humana's Investor Relations page at www.humana.com. The company suggests web participants sign on approximately 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled meeting time.
