Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business
consulting services, today announced that William D. Frank, Judith D.
Mitchell and Randolf F. Notes have joined the Company as managing
directors in the Health and Education Consulting segment. Frank and
Notes will be focused on hospitals and healthcare systems, and Mitchell
will be working with the Company’s health and education clients in the
Middle East.
"Doug, Judith and Randy will be tremendous resources for our health and
education clients and represent great additions to our team,” said James
H. Roth, chief executive officer, Huron Consulting Group. "They will
help expand and strengthen our capabilities to serve this growing area
of Huron’s business. Hospitals and universities in the U.S. are facing
unparalleled challenges, including decreased endowments, state and
federal funding issues, and evolving challenges with healthcare reform.
Among our U.S.-based hospital and university clients, there is an
increased focus on expanding their international presence. Globally,
there continues to be a rapid expansion of healthcare and educational
institutions that are aiming to meet international standards. We are
well positioned to help our health and education clients meet their
strategic objectives.”
Frank has more than 30 years of experience in management consulting with
a focus on academic institutions and national healthcare providers.
Previously, Frank served as vice president of Allegiance Healthcare.
Prior to that, he was the president and co-founder of West Hudson and

Frank will be involved with developing and managing the business
operations of hospitals and healthcare organizations to improve the
connectivity between the teaching and operational capacities of academic
healthcare institutions. He will work with Huron’s Wellspring Partners
practice to enhance performance at hospital and healthcare clients
through operational improvements, cost management, and reimbursements.
Mitchell has more than 25 years of experience working with international
academic medical centers. Her background includes extensive involvement
in all phases of academic medical center development from
conceptualization and program planning through construction, licensure
and accreditation. Prior to joining Huron, Mitchell founded the planning
practice at Harvard Medical International, the international arm of
Harvard Medical School. There she advised partner organizations in the
Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe on the development of hospital and
educational and research facilities uniquely tailored to the populations
they served. At Huron, Mitchell will assist international health and
education clients, particularly in the Middle East, with strategic
insight, analyses, and recommendations surrounding the global expansion
and management of their health, education, and research programs.
Notes has more than 15 years of experience helping hospitals and
healthcare organizations streamline their revenue cycle through process
and technology improvements. Prior to joining Huron, Notes was the
managing partner with Square 1 Health Group working with hospital
clients primarily in the Northeast to help them improve revenue cycle
operations. Previously he served as the corporate vice president of
revenue operations for Hospital Partners of America. At Huron, Notes
will be working in the Company’s Stockamp practice assisting hospital
and health system clients with analyzing and implementing broad-based
revenue cycle enhancements through managed care contract improvements,
