IDT 3LG Family of CrystalFree Solid-state Oscillators Named Product of the Year by Electronic Products Magazine

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT^®) (NASDAQ: IDTI), the Analog and Digital Company™ delivering essential mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, today announced it was honored with Electronic Products’ Product of the Year Award for its 3LG family of ±50 ppm CrystalFree™ solid-state oscillators.

The editors of Electronic Products – a leading trade publication for electronic design engineers – evaluated thousands of products launched in 2011. The winning products were selected on the basis of innovative design, significant advancement in technology or application, and substantial achievement in price and performance. The IDT3LG family of ±50 ppm CrystalFree solid-state oscillators demonstrated success in the mixed-signal category by offering up to 75 percent lower power than quartz-crystal oscillators. The devices can be used in any of a broad range of applications requiring a ±50 ppm timing reference, including computing, communications and consumer markets.

IDT’s 3LG family of CrystalFree solid-state oscillators guarantees ±50 ppm lifetime frequency accuracy. The products in the family are pin-to-pin compatible with existing quartz-based solutions, making the transition to a CMOS-based oscillator and the resulting power savings a seamless proposition. The devices support low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS), low-voltage positive emitter-coupled logic (LVPECL) and high-speed current steering logic (HCSL) standards for compatibility in a variety of applications. IDT’s 3LG devices are designed using a standard silicon manufacturing process and are offered in industry-standard plastic packaging, resulting in lead time, reliability and cost-of-ownership advantages over crystal oscillators.
