Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®);(NASDAQ:IDTI),
the Analog and Digital Company™ delivering essential mixed-signal
semiconductor solutions, today announced that two IDT mixed-signal
product families were included in the prestigious list of EDN magazine’s
Hot 100 Products, a list created by and for electronics engineers. The IDT
9TCS108x, an integrated timing and thermal management solution that
reduces BOM and application footprint, was recognized in the Hot 100
sensor category. The IDT
ACS42200, the world’s first portable audio subsystem with integrated
programmable clock generator that eliminates the need for multiple
external crystals and oscillators, was recognized in the analog category.
EDN
praised the honorees in a special report published in its November
8, 2011 issue for representing "the best of the best – the products
and technologies that in 2011 really grabbed the attention of our
editors and our readers.”
"We are honored to be included among EDN’s influential list of Hot 100
products, as it validates our commitment to mixed-signal technology and
timing leadership,” said Arman Naghavi, vice president and general
manager of the Analog and Power Division at IDT. "We will continue to
take a system-level approach to develop highly integrated solutions that
bring value to our customers’ applications.”
The IDT
9TCS108x devices integrate a low-power system timing solution, a
two-channel thermal sensor, and a four-wire pulse width modulation (PWM)
fan controller on a single chip, targeted for use in mobile PC
platforms, digital video recorders (DVRs), set top boxes (STBs), Network
Attached Storage (NAS), and enterprise Ethernet switches and routers.
The low-power PLL design extends battery life in portable devices, while
the multiple clock outputs of the device can replace on-board crystals
to reduce physical size and weight.
The IDT
ACS42200 family includes a low-power, high-fidelity codec targeted
at portable applications such as tablet computers, portable games,
personal navigation devices, portable projectors and speaker docks. The
device also integrates four programmable system PLLs for internal and
external timing, a DDX™ class-D speaker amplifier, a true cap-less
headphone amplifier, and advanced built-in audio processing capability
for 3-D, bass and treble enhancement. Like the IDT 9TCS108x devices, the
IDT ACS422200 family minimizes board space and reduces system cost
through integration, and provides time-to-market advantages by
eliminating the need for multiple external crystals and oscillators that
typically involve long lead times.
