INX Inc., (OTC: INXI)
wins Travis County Texas unified communications overhaul project.
The Travis County Government is the local County Government agency for
Austin, Texas and its surrounding cities. This agency provides services
that include the court systems, as well as the Fire Marshal, Medical
Examiner, District Attorney, and Sheriff’s Offices for its one million
citizens. Travis County recently went through a competitive procurement
process to replace the legacy TDM-based phone system with a
state-of-the-art IP-based solution to streamline agency communications
and improve user efficiency.
INX was awarded the business based on the solution submitted and will
provide Travis County with an agency wide Unified Communication System
with over 4,000 phone users covering over 30 different sites. The
solution will consist of Cisco’s Unified Communication Manager and
Unified Contact Center applications running on Cisco’s Unified Computing
System. Post implementation, INX will provide managed services to
provide ongoing monitoring and support. The project began January 2011
and will be a multi-phase, multi year project. This project represents
over $6 million to INX in products and professional services revenue.
"The INX team has been an excellent resource and a pleasure to work
with. We are confident in the success of this project thanks to their
involvement,” said Joe Harlow, CIO for Travis County.
Andy Cadwell, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Field Operations for INX,
said, "We are excited and honored to have been awarded such an important
project by Travis County. The unified communications and collaboration
solution that we are deploying with Travis County will create
significant and positive long term impact throughout all of the county’s
organizations.”
