INX Awarded Unified Communications Contract for Oregon Health and Science University

INX Inc., (NASDAQ: INXI) has been contracted to deploy a Cisco-centric unified communications solution at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).

As the state's only health and research university, OHSU brings together patient care, research, education of the next generation of health care providers and scientists, and community service to improve the health and well-being of all Oregonians. OHSU is replacing some legacy telecommunication systems and to gain functionality and efficiencies with a state-of-the-art unified communications solution. The initial project services have begun with design, planning and the initial equipment order, with integration of this phase scheduled to be completed mid 2012.

OHSU chose INX as their integration partner to drive the deployment of a Cisco Unified Communications solution that will include telephony, voicemail and contact center features customized to meet OHSU specific business needs. OHSU will use the Cisco-based solution to support the communications needs of its more than 13,500 employees across 450 business units.

INX has expertise in the unified communications field, strong healthcare and higher education practices, and a close working relationship with the solution manufacturer, Cisco Systems. INX’s unique project deployment methodology, called the "Strategic Delivery Framework” (SDF), which mitigates risk of complex IT adoption and focuses on business-process transformation, was also a deciding factor in choosing INX for this project.
