INX Inc., (OTC:INXI)
announced today that INX’s Steve Kaplan, in conjunction with Raman
Veeramraju and with VMware’s Ben Lin, Duncan Epping, Michael Haines and
lead author John Arrasjid, have co-authored Cloud Computing
with
VMware vCloud Director.
INX Inc. today announced the release of the new VMware book, Cloud
Computing with VMware vCloud Director. The new book was co-authored
by INX Vice President of Data Center Virtualization, Steve Kaplan, along
with senior VMware consultants John Arrasjid, Ben Lin, Duncan Epping and
Michael Haines and with Dell’s Raman Veeramraju. The forward was written
by VMware CEO, Paul Maritz. The book is published by the USENIX
Association and is available online at usenix.org and Amazon.com.
Lead author, John Arrasjid, VCDX, Principal Architect at VMware stated, "Cloud
Computing with VMware vCloud Director addresses common questions
about cloud computing ranging from the definition of the term itself to
how an organization can effectively implement a cloud computing model.
It was written for those interested in learning about the VMware vCloud
and other cloud computing technologies, and about how these pieces work
together. While this is a personal, rather than an official VMware book,
we were fortunate to have exceptional support from both VMware and INX
in developing the content. Working with Steve Kaplan on this third book
on VMware technologies has been a great collaborative effort.”
"The opportunity to collaborate with John and the other consultants was
exhilarating,” said INX’s Kaplan. "Their mastery of this topic shows how
cloud computing can revolutionize IT if it is applied at a strategic
level incorporating everything from networking to security to
chargeback.”
"INX assists our customers in successfully transitioning to cloud
computing models,” said Mark Hilz, CEO of INX. "We are pleased that
Steve was able to collaborate with the VMware and Dell consultants in
writing a book that succinctly assists organizations in both
understanding and architecting enterprise cloud computing strategies.”
Cloud Computing with VMware vCloud Director, Volume 24, is the
second in a USENIX series. The first, Volume 21, is Foundations for
Cloud Computing with VMware vSphere 4, also co-authored by INX’s
Steve Kaplan. The two books provide details on building a VMware
technology based cloud environment.
