LGS, a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU and Euronext Paris)
dedicated to serving the U.S. government community today announced it
had named Robert Farr as its Director of Corporate Marketing and Kathleen
Cowles to head up a newly created position of Director of Corporate
and Government Affairs.
Farr brings 20 years of federal and commercial marketing experience to
LGS, with a concentration on strategic development, business
development, marketing communications and demand generation. He has
extensive federal experience with large, government-focused contractors
and brings entrepreneurial experience of nearly 10 years managing two of
his own companies. Farr previously held business development, strategic
development and marketing positions at Panasonic, Oracle and GTSI.
Cowles has been a long-time, valued member of LGS and its legacy
companies. She brings more than 20 years of experience in
telecommunications, much of it focused on serving the United States
government. Throughout her career, Cowles has participated and
collaborated in industry forums and on committees aimed at improving the
quality and delivery of telecommunications-related products and services.
Both Farr and Cowles will be based in the Northern Virginia headquarters
of LGS.
