MICROS Simphony Certified to Elavon’s Fusebox Payment Gateway

Elavon, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) and a leading global payments provider, and MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, today announced that MICROS’s centrally-hosted Simphony enterprise point-of-service (POS) solution has been certified to connect with Fusebox, Elavon’s hosted payment gateway.

The certification provides hospitality organizations with MICROS Simphony’s POS solution the ability to connect to a variety of payment processors, eliminating the need to conduct multiple direct-processor certifications, and simplifying upgrades and enhancements since both Simphony and Fusebox are hosted in secure data centers.

Additionally, Fusebox creates peace of mind for organizations through its secure tokenization solution, which replaces actual cardholder data with unique Token IDs that protect data at rest and stored in POS systems, allowing some of the costs and complexities related to PCI Compliance to be mitigated.
