Mindspeed and Rockethome to Demonstrate Home Automation and Energy Management Solutions at CES 2012

Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, today announced that it will jointly demonstrate smart energy solutions with Rockethome, at the 2012 International CES trade show, that combine intelligent metering and home management capabilities on a single, integrated platform powered by Mindspeed®’s Comcerto® 1000 embedded packet processors.

Rockethome’s smart energy solutions combine intelligent metering and management with powerful web-based control and data analysis tools so that consumers can continuously assess and optimize their home environment for comfort and efficiency. Mindspeed’s Comcerto 1000 processor, powered by ProSyst’s Open Services Gateway initiative (OSGi) software, enables the Rockethome User Engagement Platform to interpret, visualize and control a variety of smart home and smart metering capabilities and applications. Users can link home appliances and multimedia equipment both inside the home and over the Internet, and then control and automate functions while measuring usage and efficiency in a single, holistic application. The Rockethome software demonstrated at CES also integrates a home security management suite, in the same user-friendly application.
