Q-Cells SE, one of the leading photovoltaic companies worldwide, has
been chosen by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) as a preferred partner
for the 250 MW utility-owned generation (UOG) program. The UOG program
enables 250 MW of utility-owned solar PV, to be developed in annual
installments of 50 MW over a five-year period. As part of the 2012
installment of the UOG program, Q-Cells North America will construct two
solar power plants, one 10 MW and one 20 MW, in California’s Central
Valley.
"Q-Cells’ partnership with PG&E is another example of our highly
competitive solar PV solutions for the North American market,” said Marc
van Gerven, managing director of Q-Cells in North America.
