A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACMR) today announced that
Richard Arthur joined the Company as its Vice President of Marketing and
Advertising effective December 1, 2009. He will report directly to the
Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, David Abelman.
Mr. Abelman said, "Rich has diverse experience in all aspects of
marketing. I am very pleased that he has decided to join A.C. Moore.
Having worked with Rich in the past, I am confident that his impact on
enhancing our marketing programs, and improving the productivity of our

Mr. Arthur has nearly 20 years of marketing and advertising experience
in the retail industry. He has held senior marketing positions at
retailers along with retail-focused agency experience. Most recently,
Mr. Arthur was Senior Director of Marketing for arts and crafts retailer
Michaels Stores, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic marketing,
agency management and media buying. Prior to joining Michaels, Mr.
Arthur was Director of Marketing for Mervyn’s, the department store
chain and previously a division of Target Corp.
