SYNNEX Corporation Completes Sale of Controlling Interest in HiChina Web Solutions to Alibaba.com

SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE:SNX), a leading business process services company, announced today it has completed the sale of its controlling interest in China Civilink (Cayman) which operates in China as HiChina Web Solutions, a leading eCommerce company that provides domain name registration, web site hosting and design, to Alibaba.com Limited (HKSE: 1688.HK).

Under the terms of the agreement, SYNNEX received approximately $60 million for its estimated 79% controlling ownership in HiChina Web Solutions, subject to a 10% holdback. The sale of the controlling interest in HiChina Web Solutions is aligned with SYNNEX' overall strategy of focusing on synergistic expansion of its core competencies and services offerings to benefit its customers and OEM partners within existing and adjacent target markets.

HiChina Web Solutions contributed approximately $0.09 and $0.17 to SYNNEX’ diluted earnings per share for the nine months ended August 31, 2009 and fiscal year ended November 30, 2008, respectively.
