The U.S. division of Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF; TSX: SLF) today
announced that Sean Woodroffe has been appointed Head of Human Resources
for the U.S. business. In this position, Woodroffe will oversee all U.S.
Human Resources operations.

Prior to joining Sun Life, Woodroffe was Division Head for the United
Bank for Africa’s Human Capital Management Business Partnership, where
he oversaw the seamless delivery of all HR services to business heads
and more than 17,000 employees globally. He has also served as Senior
Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Financial
Guaranty Insurance Company, and worked in numerous HR roles during an
18-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, where he rose to First Vice President,
Head of International Human Resources in London.
Woodfroffe earned his BA in International Relations from Shaw University
and has completed the Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard Business
School.
