Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that its
subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., in Huntsville, Ala., has
received a major task order contract under a multiple award indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the Department of
Defense (DoD) to provide acquisition program and engineering support,
research and technology, and program and integration support.
In addition to Teledyne Brown, nine other winners were announced to
provide up to $485 million in support services over the next five years.

Potential customers are the nation’s front line performers in defense
against chemical, biological radiological, nuclear and explosives
(CBRNE) weapons of mass destruction. These include the U.S. Army
Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, the DoD Joint Program Executive
Office for Chemical and Biological Defense and subordinate project
offices, the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency, and the U.S. Army
Medical Research Institute for Chemical Defense.
Teledyne Brown’s past work for the DoD includes: chemical weapons
disposal support to the Non-Stockpile Chemical Materiel Program,
enhanced protection to the warfighters against improvised explosives, a
new chemical and biological warfare agent decontamination system for
sensitive electronics and avionics, and a new biological detector test
chamber.
The contract was awarded through the U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical
Biological Center in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. The work will be
performed primarily in Huntsville, Ala., and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
