The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: HIG) announced today
that it has been selected to provide group life, long-term disability,
and accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage for the 2,300
employees of the City of Chattanooga.

Eligible Chattanooga government and school employees will be provided
with The Hartford’s insurance. Designed to emphasize ability, The
Hartford’s long-term disability coverage provides vocational and job
placement services, work-related guidance and resources, and emotional,
legal and financial help.

Included in their group life coverage with The Hartford, City of
Chattanooga employees will have funeral planning benefits available at
no additional out-of-pocket cost to them. Life
Conversations from The Hartford provides an industry-leading package
of end-of-life services, including funeral planning and online will
preparation services. The program also provides employees with travel
assistance, including medical assistance and planning services.
The City of Chattanooga joins the more than 1,100 public employers whose
employees’ livelihoods are supported by The Hartford’s group benefits,
including disability, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and
group retiree health insurance. Most recently, the State of Arizona and
the County of San Bernardino, Calif., have selected The Hartford to
provide income protection to their employees.
