Tina Preisig, Senior Vice President of Managed Care at PMA Companies,
has been selected by the LexisNexis Workers’ Compensation Law Center as
one of the Workers’ Compensation Notable People for 2009 (http://bit.ly/7DBtsL),
an award that honors those who "have worked tirelessly on behalf of
their clients and have made significant contributions this past year to
the workers’ compensation system and/or the workplace.”
Ms. Preisig received an MBA from the Executive Program at Lake Forest
Graduate School of Management in Illinois. A graduate of Northeastern
Illinois University, Ms. Preisig is a Registered Nurse with 30 years of
experience in the workers’ compensation medical arena. Since joining PMA
Companies in May 2008, she has applied her experience and expertise to
build tremendous efficacy into PMA’s Preferred Provider Network,
Pharmacy Benefits Management, Medical Bill Review and Medical Case
Management practices for PMA and its clients.
"I am very pleased that Tina was selected for this award. She brings
extremely valuable experience and expertise to PMA and the industry
overall," said John Santulli, Executive Vice President, PMA Companies.
"Workers' compensation medical costs continue to be a challenge for our
industry, and we are committed to continuing to bring value to our
customers by maximizing our managed care programs and lowering claims
costs while delivering quality services."
In 2009, Ms. Preisig and her team supported thousands of PMA commercial
insurance and third-party administrator clients, by creating a
streamlined vendor management program to further reduce clients’ claims
costs and by helping to reduce overall pharmacy spending. In 2010, Ms.
Preisig continues to innovate with Managed Care measures which should
bring PMA clients even greater convenience, savings and tangible value
to their workers’ compensation risk management programs.
The recipients of the 2009 awards were selected by various organizations
and experts in the workers’ compensation field, including the Workers
Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), the National Workers’ Compensation
Defense Network (NWCDN), the California Applicants’ Attorneys
Association (CAAA), the Workers’ Compensation Forum on LinkedIn, and
selected members of the Larson's National Workers' Compensation Advisory
Board.
