TurboTax Now Available for iPad

TurboTax®, the nation’s leading tax software, today announced a new app designed and optimized specifically for mobile users of the iPad. TurboTax for the iPad combines the unparalleled ease and accuracy of TurboTax with the convenience and portability of the Apple iPad.

One of the first iPad apps from Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq:INTU), it is the first and only mobile app that lets taxpayers prepare and e-file both their federal and state taxes completely from their iPad.

The new TurboTax app gives users the freedom to work on their taxes anytime and anywhere, even when they’re on the go. The app lets users choose whether to work in landscape or portrait view and like all TurboTax products, guides consumers step-by-step through their return to their maximum refund.

Customers can e-file their return directly from the iPad and get a refund in as little as eight days with direct deposit. After filing, they can check the status of their federal tax refund, based on Internal Revenue Service projections, with the TurboTax MyTaxRefund iPad app.

Taxpayers can download the mobile app for free from the Apple App store and pay when they are done. Customers begin in TurboTax Deluxe, for $29.99, and based on their tax situation, choose TurboTax Premier or TurboTax Home & Business for an additional cost. State tax preparation is additional. All pricing is subject to change and includes e-file at no additional cost.
