Comverse has been selected by Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile
operator with over 22 million users, to deploy a multi-channel mobile
advertising platform in its network, allowing Kyivstar to launch
targeted promotional campaigns to its subscribers.
Kyivstar will use the Comverse HUB Mobile Advertising platform with
advanced targeting and analytics capabilities to promote its own
products and services to subscribers via multiple channels, such as text
messaging (SMS) and replies generated by self-service options made
possible by Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD). For
instance, balance notifications generated by Kyivstar’s existing prepaid
billing system from Comverse will include promotions of Kyivstar‘s own
products.
To constantly improve results, advanced metrics will make it possible
for Kyivstar to precisely track and fine tune the effectiveness of
marketing campaigns. In addition, because the billing system is always
on and available, Kyivstar is assured that these results are accurate
and not skewed by system downtimes.
"Mobile advertising gives us creative new ways to enrich the user
experience and provide subscribers with information and promotions
relevant to them,” said Vitaliy Vorozhbyt, products management and
development director at Kyivstar.
"We selected Comverse for their mobile advertising expertise across all
channels around the globe,” Vorozhbyt said, "as well as their ability to
integrate it with their systems already here, such as our existing
Comverse prepaid billing system. This is especially important because
our promotions will depend heavily on reliable, real-time information.”
Mobile Advertising is part of Comverse HUB Value-Added Services,
spanning voice, messaging, mobile Internet and mobile advertising.
Comverse HUB is a synergistic framework that enables service providers
to maximize their business performance and augment their position in the
market.
"By joining a growing group of innovative operators using the Comverse
HUB Mobile Advertising platform, Kyivstar positions itself to tap into
the mobile phone’s potential as the ultimate marketing tool,” said Dror
Bin, President of Global Sales at Comverse, the world's leading supplier
of software and systems enabling value-added messaging and content
services, converged billing and active customer management, and IP
communications.
"Comverse makes mobile advertising more relevant to the user with a
one-on-one approach, multiple touchpoints, and unsurpassed targeting
capabilities,” Bin said. "The fact that we were able to easily install
another Comverse solution within Kyivstar’s existing offering also shows
how well Comverse products work together.”
At the upcoming Mobile World Congress meeting (Feb. 15 to 18) in
Barcelona, visitors are invited to Hall 8 Booth B83 to experience the
Comverse HUB Mobile Advertising platform and a wide range of Comverse
demos. To schedule a meeting with Comverse, visitors are encouraged to
make an online
request.
