People needing to send money fast now have a convenient and affordable new choice, thanks to a new agreement announced today by MoneyGram International (NYSE:MGI), a leading global money transfer company.

MoneyGram’s money transfer services have long been available online at www.moneygram.com or at MoneyGram agent locations, including financial institutions and retailers, such as Walmart. Now, customers in the U.S. can use MoneyGram to send money conveniently from walmart.moneygram.com.

U.S.-based consumers can now conveniently send money from Walmart.com to be picked up exclusively at any Walmart location in the U.S., using either a credit/debit card or an ACH transfer from their bank account, at a comparable value to their in-store experience. The money can be received at any of Walmart’s 3,800 locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, including the company’s Supercenter, Neighborhood Market and Walmart Express stores.

Transfers using credit or debit cards are available in only 10 minutes, while ACH transfers are available in as little as four hours – reducing the typical wait time for ACH transfers from days to hours.
