Xfinity TV Viewers Can’t Get Enough Bridesmaids, Tosh.0, SpongeBob SquarePants and Beyoncé; Most-Watched Entertainment Choices Recognized as 2011 Xfinity On Demand Award Winners

Comcast’s Xfinity TV announced the winners of the 2011 Xfinity On Demand Awards, which honor the movies, TV series, kids series and musical artists that customers watched most on the service during the course of the year. The overall most-viewed award winners for 2011 are: Bridesmaids, Tosh.0, SpongeBob SquarePants and Beyoncé. In addition, 2011 marked significant growth on the service with a 10 percent increase in views on Xfinity On Demand year-over-year and a surge in average views per month from 350 million to 400 million, making 2011 the year with the most views in the service’s history.

This year, comedies dominated both movies and TV series while R&B was the top-performer in music. Hit movies released on Xfinity On Demand the same day as the DVD release also performed extremely well.
