Vignette (NASDAQ: VIGN) today announced that two of its customers,
National Instruments and QAD Inc., have been recognized by the Web
Marketing Association’s WebAwards for their
Vignette-powered, public-facing Web sites. Vignette also earned a spot
on KMWorld Magazine’s list of "trend-setting
products of 2008.”
Now in its 12th year, the Web Marketing
Association’s WebAwards
Competition evaluates more than 2,400 sites from 45 countries. An
independent team made up of media, advertising and marketing executives,
site designers, webmasters and other Web professionals judge entries
based on seven categories: design, copywriting, innovation, content,
interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
National Instruments, known for transforming the way engineers and
scientists design, prototype and deploy test, control and embedded
systems, received the prestigious Outstanding Website award for www.ni.com
and far exceeded the WebAwards average scores of 9 or above in five
categories, including interactivity, ease of use and design. Another
Vignette-powered Web site, QAD, was honored with the Manufacturing
Standard of Excellence. With high-ranking scores in all categories, QAD
beat both industry and WebAward averages.
In addition to the WebAwards, 2008 marks the fifth consecutive year
Vignette has been honored by KMWorld Magazine. The industry
publication named Vignette
Business Integration Studio as one of its trend-setting products of
2008. In making the designation, KMWorld notes that Vignette
Business Integration Studio offers "an
approach to out-of-the box, relatively light load, smooth integration of
wide sources of enterprise content.”
"These honors reinforce Vignette’s
versatility,” said Dave Dutch, senior vice
president of products and marketing at Vignette. "Offering
a compelling and dynamic Web experience is vital for organizations in
any industry, from media and entertainment to manufacturing, public
sector and financial services. Vignette helps our customers deliver
those experiences via a highly scalable, integrated platform that
