Analog Devices Inc. on Tuesday reported a fiscal second-quarter profit of $162 million, or 53 cents a share, on revenue of $675 million. During the same period a year ago, the maker of signal-processing chips earned $241.8 million, or 78 cents a share, on $790.8 million in sales. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research had forecast Analog Devices to earn 51 cents a share on $665.7 million in revenue.
