Ashworth Re-Signs PGA Tour Pro Chris DiMarco

Ashworth, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASHW), a leading designer ofgolf-inspired lifestyle sportswear, today announced that Chris DiMarcoextended his relationship with Ashworth with a three-year contracteffective January 2007. DiMarco was recently named to the 2006 U.S.Ryder Cup Team with a total of 830 points for the season and a 6thplace birth. The prestigious Ryder Cup is being held at The K Club inIreland from September 22nd thru 24th.

In the beginning of 2006, DiMarco started out the season with afirst place finish overseas at The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. Theearly season win in Abu Dhabi gave DiMarco a much needed head start onpoint standings on his way to earning a spot on the 2006 Ryder Cupteam. In mid-March of this year, DiMarco's season was interrupted by aski accident. DiMarco missed 5 out of 8 cuts on the PGA Tour duringApril and May, lowering him to 17th on the Ryder Cup rankings list. InJuly 2006, DiMarco was to receive more bad news learning of theuntimely passing of his mother.

Going into The Open Championship, DiMarco was ranked 21st in theRyder Cup standings, and knew all too well that, in spite of hisinjury and personal loss, he would have to finish high up on theleader board to keep his hopes alive. A determined DiMarco managed tosustain great momentum through all four rounds. "What makes Chris sucha great player is his ability to stay focused and consistently channelhis emotions back into his play. Chris is able to create shots fromnothing, making pars over and over from near impossible situations,"commented Chris Demirjian, Director of Sports Marketing of Ashworth,Inc. On Sunday's final round, DiMarco birdied holes 16 and 18finishing second to Tiger Woods, moving himself into sixth place inthe Ryder Cup standings and all but assuring himself a birth on the2006 Ryder Cup team.

Chris DiMarco originally signed with Team Ashworth in November2001 and has had 3 career first place finishes along with 58 careertop 10 finishes. He currently holds a 15th place in the Worldrankings.
