NEW YORK (TheStreet) --
Barclays PLC's finance director, Chris Lucas, is on his way out the door, according to published media reports.
Lucas, who has been finance director at the U.K.-based bank for six years, plans to retire and could announce his plans as early as Monday, according to reports from Reuters, The Wall Street Journal and other media outlets that cited anonymous sources.
Barclays has been rocked by multiple scandals in the past year. Last June, it was fined $450 million for rigging the Libor interest rate following an international investigation. The revelation led to the resignations of former CEO Bob Diamond, Chairman Marcus Agius and COO Jerry del Missier. Lucas is the only executive director left in the wake of the scandal.
