Chemtura Announces Price Increase for Adiprene(R), Vibrathane(R) and Vibracure(R)

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CEM). Effective August 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Chemtura will increase prices in North America and Latin America on all Adiprene®, Vibrathane® polyurethane prepolymers and Vibracure® curatives by up to 15% depending on product family. This additional price increase is necessary to offset the continuing unprecedented escalation of raw materials, packaging and energy costs. Concurrently, Chemtura will make all prepaid shipments to North and Latin American customers on a prepaid-and-add basis. This will provide customers with direct visibility to freight expenses, and enable them to optimize purchase quantities to reduce freight costs.
