Craig R. Davis Joins A.C. Moore as Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. (Nasdaq:ACMR) announced today that Craig
R. Davis will join the Company as its Senior Vice President of
Merchandising and Marketing effective July 30, 2007. Mr. Davis has
nearly 30 years of experience in the arts and crafts retail industry.
Rick A. Lepley, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "We
are extremely pleased to have Craig join our senior management team. He
brings to A.C. Moore extensive industry knowledge and skills, as well as
experience in the implementation of retail merchandising systems. We
believe that Craig will be integral to the enhancement of our
merchandising and marketing strategy to drive sales and improve margin.”
Since 2006, Mr. Davis has served as Vice President, General Merchandise
Manager, Retail for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, the approximately
$2.0 billion restaurant and gift shop chain. He joined Cracker Barrel in
2005 as a Divisional Merchandise Manager. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Davis
was Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Jo-Ann Stores,
Inc., the national fabric and craft retailer. From 1996 to 2001, Mr.
Davis served as Divisional Merchandise Manager for Garden Ridge, Inc.,
the privately held retailer of home décor,
craft and house ware products located in the Midwestern and Southeastern
United States. From 1976 to 1996, he held senior management positions
with various arts and crafts and home décor
retailers, including Metropolitan Plant and Flower, Inc. and Leewards
Creative Crafts, Inc.
