The restructuring measures introduced last year by computer manufacturer
MAXDATA AG (ISIN DE0006581309; German securities code [WKN]: 658 130) are
beginning to show results. In the first quarter of 2007 the company's loss
(EBIT) was 60 percent lower than in the first quarter of 2006, at EUR 6.9
million compared with EUR 17.6 million. The consolidated net loss was 58
percent lower, at EUR 7.2 million compared with EUR 17.1 million in the
first quarter of 2006. Turnover amounted to EUR 114.9 million, compared
with EUR 150.3 million in the first quarter of 2006.
