Disney Channel U.S. Highlights - 2008
Disney Channel (NYSE:DIS) continued its dominance of Prime’s landscape,
owning TV’s No. 1 scripted series in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for the
third straight year with "The Suite Life on Deck,” and also
delivering the No. 1 Cable/TV
entertainment telecast in Total Viewers and Tweens 9-14,
respectively, with "Camp Rock.” In addition, "Phineas and Ferb”
qualified as TV’s No. 1 animated series
of the year in Tweens 9-14, with "Hannah Montana” and "Wizards
of Waverly Place” ranking among TV’s Top series in both key kid
targets. Playhouse Disney’s "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked among
cable’s Top 10 series of 2008.
In Prime, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network for the sixth
straight year in Kids 6-11 and for the eighth consecutive year in
Tweens 9-14. In Total Viewers, the network was cable’s No. 2 network
in Prime, marking the channel’s third straight year ranking among the
Top 2 cable networks for the year.

Disney Channel qualified as cable’s second-most-watched network in
Prime in Total Viewers (2.4 million), marking the third straight
year the network has earned a Top 2 rank or higher.

Among its target demos, Disney Channel captured TV’s annual Prime
trophy for the sixth consecutive year in Kids 6-11 (1.0
million/4.1 rating), with the streak at eight straight years in
Tweens 9-14 (842,000/3.4 rating).

"Camp Rock” Reach: Since its U.S. and Canada debut on June
20, 2008, Disney’s "Camp Rock” has reached 106 million viewers
worldwide: U.S./Canada (42.9 million), Latin America (10.1
million), Europe/Middle East/Asia (51.3 million), Asia/Pacific
(1.6 million), Japan (0.9 million).

"The Suite Life on Deck” was TV’s No. 1 series in Kids 6-11
(2.0 million/8.2 rating) and TV’s No. 1 scripted series in Tweens
9-14 (1.8 million/7.5 rating). This marks the third year in a
row Disney Channel has delivered the No. 1 scripted TV series
in both key kid targets.

Debuting as cable’s No. 1 animated series premiere of all time on
February 1, 2008 in Tweens 9-14, "Phineas and Ferb” qualified as
TV’s No. 1 animated series in the key demo (653,000/2.7 rating),
and landed in a virtual tie for No. 1 in Kids 6-11 (824,000/3.4
rating vs. 863,000/3.5 rating for "Spongebob”).

Going strong in its third season, "Hannah Montana” was cable’s
fifth-ranked series in Kids 6-11 (965,000/4.0 rating) and Tweens
9-14 (806,000/3.3 rating), with "Wizards of Waverly Place,”
currently in its second season, ranking a competitive sixth overall
in the key demos (Kids 6-11: 913,000/3.8 rating; Tweens 9-14:
802,000/3.3 rating). Altogether, Disney Channel delivered 3 of
2008’s Top 6 TV/Cable series in the net’s core demos.

A key competitive player each week during 2008, Playhouse Disney’s
"Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked among cable’s Top 10 scripted series
for the year in Kids 2-5 (#8, 680,000/4.2 rating).

with 10.5 million
average monthly unique visitors, DisneyChannel.com easily topped
other key industry websites like Nick.com (8.5 million), NBC.com (7.4
million) and CBS.com (5.4 million).

No. 1 entertainment Kids website
with 10.5 million
average monthly unique visitors, far surpassing key competitors
Nick.com (8.5 million) and CartoonNetwork.com (7.6 million).

In August 2008, DisneyChannel.com enjoyed its best month ever with
14.5 million unique visitors, driven in part by the net’s "DC
Games” and DCOM "The Cheetah Girls One World.”
