DivX Grants Mobile Certification to New MtekVision Media Processor

DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIVX), a digital media company, today announced a
licensing deal with Mtekvision Co., a leader in advanced mobile
semiconductor technology, to grant DivX®
Mobile Certification to a new media processor chipset used in a variety
of mobile platforms.
The MtekVision MV8722, part of the Maple family of media processors,
will enable mobile devices which incorporate the new chipset to
seamlessly playback high-quality DivX® video
at resolutions up to 720x400. These mobile devices will join over 100
million other DivX Certified® devices shipped
by DivX’s licensees into the market, including
DVD players, digital cameras, video game consoles, digital televisions,
and mobile phones. DivX Certification enables a premium visual
experience and interoperability among an expanding ecosystem of devices
and platforms.
