First Charter Announces Retirement of Board Member

First Charter Corporation (NASDAQ: FCTR) announced that Thomas Revels, a
member of the First Charter Corporation Board of Directors since 1997,
will be retiring from the Board upon the expiration of his current term
at the 2007 Annual Meeting.
President and CEO Bob James commented, "Tom
has been a valued member of our board over the past ten years. We
greatly appreciate his contribution and counsel and wish him continued
success in his business endeavors.”
Revels is President of Informed Health, LLC, a healthcare service
company. He has had a long and distinguished career in the healthcare
industry, including serving as President and CEO of Novant Health, Inc.,
Southern Piedmont Region/Presbyterian Healthcare as well as other
leadership roles within the healthcare industry.

Revels served on the compensation and trust committees of the First
Charter Corporation Board. He will be leaving the Board due to the
increasing time commitment required by his leadership position at
Informed Health.
