Implant Sciences Appoints Phillip Thomas as Chairman of the Board of Directors

Implant Sciences Corporation (AMEX: IMX) a leading developer of
advanced explosives detection products and technology, today announced
the appointment of Mr. Phillip C. Thomas as Chairman of the Board of
Directors.
At the Company’s 2007 Annual Meeting of
Shareholders held on December 12, 2007, the Company’s
shareholders elected Mr. Thomas and Mr. Joseph Levangie as directors,
and re-elected Dr. Michael Szycher, Mr. David Eisenhaure and Mr. Michael
Turmelle as directors.
Mr. Thomas commented, "I look forward to
serving as Chairman of the Company’s Board of
Directors and continuing to act as a pragmatic change agent for the
Company. For the last year, the Company has been evolving at several
levels which, I believe, has strengthened our overall competitive
