SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a leading business process services
company announced today that Jim Estill, President and Chief Executive
Officer of SYNNEX Canada Limited, plans to resign from SYNNEX Canada at
the end of May 2009. Mr. Estill is leaving SYNNEX Canada to pursue other
opportunities. Mitchell Martin, President of SYNNEX Canada Limited, will
assume Mr. Estill’s responsibilities.
"With over thirty years of industry experience, Jim has been
instrumental in building SYNNEX Canada into a market leader and the
fierce competitor it is today,” stated Kevin Murai, President and Chief
Executive Officer of SYNNEX Corporation. "Jim came to SYNNEX through the
acquisition of EMJ Data Systems Limited, a company he founded and grew
to over CDN$300 million in revenue at the time of its acquisition in
September 2004. He is a seasoned executive with significant insight and
knowledge about the Canadian market place and we have appreciated the
many contributions that he has made over the years, not only to SYNNEX
Canada but to SYNNEX Corporation. Through his vision and leadership, Jim
has built a strong and seasoned team in Canada that will continue his
legacy and best business practices. Jim has been a respected member of
our senior leadership team and will be missed. We wish him well in his
future endeavors.”
Mitchell Martin joined SYNNEX Canada through the acquisition of Merisel
Canada, Inc. in September 2001. With over twenty years of industry
experience, Mr. Martin advanced through the ranks of Merisel Canada
through various positions in Product Management, Marketing and Sales. In
1999, Mr. Martin became the Senior Vice President of Product and
Inventory Management for Merisel Americas, Inc. based in El Segundo,
California. In 2000, he returned to Canada as President of Merisel
Canada. Mr. Martin is a well-rounded and respected executive within
SYNNEX Canada and throughout the Canadian distribution marketplace. Mr.
Martin’s transition into the role of President of SYNNEX Canada is
expected to be seamless and rapid.
Mr. Murai continued, "SYNNEX Canada is strategic to our business
operations and we are confident that the current momentum and growth
will continue under the leadership of Mitchell Martin. Mitchell is a
seasoned executive with strong leadership capabilities and business
acumen. I am very confident that Mitchell will execute well on our
strategic initiatives and goals for the Canadian division.”
"While my decision to leave SYNNEX Canada is based solely on my desire
to pursue the next challenge in my career, I am pleased to hand over the
reins of SYNNEX Canada to Mitchell, who has proven himself ready for the
responsibility,” stated Jim Estill. "I am very confident in the senior
leadership team currently in place in Canada and believe that, together
with Mitchell’s leadership, this team will continue to perform extremely
well for our vendors and customers and take SYNNEX Canada to the next
level of growth and industry leadership. Also, I have the utmost respect

am confident that SYNNEX Corporation is well positioned for continued
growth and success in the future.”
