Jupitermedia zu myNews hinzufügen Was ist das?

InternetNews.com (www.internetnews.com), a Jupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM) Web site offering real-time IT news coverage, has announced the winners of its 2008 CEO Vision Awards, its list of 10 visionary chief executives whose leadership has made a significant impact on information technology.

"We looked at a wide range criteria, including stock prices of the public companies involved, their performance over the past year and how much the companies are advancing innovation with information technology," said Erin Joyce, executive editor of InternetNews.com. "But of all these considerations, how their vision impacted the industry carried the most weight."

InternetNews.com 2008 CEO Vision Awards honor these leaders (listed alphabetically):

Marc Benioff of Salesforce.com for continuing to follow his pioneering vision for software as a service (SaaS).

Jeff Bezos for steering Amazon into new categories, such as its EC2 platform for cloud computing.

John Chambers of Cisco for his work overseeing Nexus, the company's ambitious new switching platform.

Larry Ellison for Oracle's key acquisitions and for executing Oracle's virtualization strategy and growing its Linux business.

Jen-Hsun Huang of nVidia for pushing into the handheld space with its Tegra processors.

Steve Jobs for the many ways Apple's products, such as the iPhone, are influencing innovation by other smartphone makers.

Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite for steering the on-demand application service provider through the complex task of offering a full on-demand business suite.

Sam Palmisano of IBM for putting a strong management team in place to execute its software strategy and consulting divisions as well as for taking risks with its Cell processor.

Joe Tucci for overseeing EMCs aggressive acquisition strategy that included snapping up storage providers Mozy and Iomega.

Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook for the launch of the Facebook Platform and move to bring the social networking/collaboration experience to new areas.
