MIC to Resell Xyratex RAID to Japan-Based Solution Integrators

Xyratex Ltd. (NASDAQ:XRTX), a leading provider of enterprise class data
storage subsystems and storage process technology, today announced that
MIC Associates, Inc. will resell the Xyratex E5402E SAS/SATA RAID system
to its solution integrator partners in the Japan market.
MIC Associates, Inc. has been a long-standing customer of Xyratex for
many years and will now be selling the highly successful E5402E RAID
system and RS-1220 Expansion. The E5402E has been added to the MIC
product portfolio to meet the growing requirement for SAS-based RAID
solutions in the Japanese market place. The company will primarily offer
the E5402E to Japan-based partners that target the video and multimedia
markets, both high growth segments in Japan and Asia-Pacific.

leveraging their advanced integration and manufacturing capabilities,”

The E5402E system is the latest addition to Xyratex’s
range of SAS solutions targeting SME and SMB deployment. Designed with
the small and medium-sized business markets in mind, the highly
integrated E5402E provides SAS host connectivity and supports both SAS
and SATA-II drive technology. The combination provides for superior
performance in both direct attached and network storage environments.
This innovative approach gives end-users the benefit of high
performance, system flexibility and simplified management and
integration.
