PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ: PCTI), a leader in propagation and optimization
solutions for the wireless industry, today announced its new vertically
polarized wideband base station antenna series with improved coverage
characteristics. The new antennas provide high gain with null fill
capability and optimized extended coverage for broadband access, SCADA
and Telemetry applications. The new Base Station Sector antennas are
designed for suburban, rural and remote areas.
The wideband antennas serve all licensed and unlicensed frequency bands
in the 2.3-2.7GHz range and are available with a variety of beam-width
options to cover multiple deployment scenarios. These antennas are
designed with null fill capability that resolve coverage issues for
subscribers closer to the base station. The antennas are available in 48
inch (122 cm) tall radomes and include a robust adjustable scissors
mount. PCTEL also designed a Tri-Sector mount which allows installation
of 3 antennas for full 360 degree coverage.
"The enterprise deploys wireless communications to reduce operational
costs and increase efficiency, not just to achieve broadband access,”
said Jeff Miller, General Manager of PCTEL's Antenna Products Group. "We
are working closely with our customers and developing innovative antenna
solutions that help them improve system performance,” added Miller.
PCTEL will be demonstrating its infrastructure antennas along with its
portfolio of GPS/Telematics and mobile antenna solutions at the
International Wireless Communications Expo show, booth #1529, March
18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
