Quick-Med Technologies Presenting at Prestigious SAWC/WHS Conference

Quick-Med Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:QMDT) announced today that Bernd Liesenfeld, Ph.D, senior scientist at Quick-Med Technologies, will deliver a podium presentation at the prestigious annual Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Wound Healing Society combined Conference (SAWC/WHS). Dr. Liesenfeld will present "Protease Inhibitors Prevent Microvesication in Sulfur Mustard Wounds on Human Skin Explants.” This paper, coauthored with M. Mol (TNO Laboratories, Netherlands) and G. Schultz (the University of Florida at Gainesville), summarizes research that demonstrates the Company's Ilomastat technology, a powerful matrix metalloprotease inhibitor, can suppress the primary blistering damage mechanism in a human tissue explant model after exposure to sulfur mustard, even when treatment occurred hours after exposure.
