Rohm and Haas Emphasizes Forward-looking Sustainability Solutions at European Coatings Show 2009

This year’s European Coatings Show in Nürnberg, Germany, the world’s number 1 coatings trade fair, will be the arena for specialty materials company Rohm and Haas (NYSE:ROH) to showcase a number of their innovations focused on eco-sustainability for the industrial, decorative, and building and construction coatings segments, both at their booth and during the Congress.

• Industrial Coatings: New water-based primer and binder range for industrial metal and wood, combining high-performance with an excellent eco-profile, and representing an attractive alternative to solvent-based systems.
• Hiding technology: New development for use in alkyd emulsion high gloss paint.
• Rheology modifiers: New low VOC mid-shear viscosity builder with less sensitivity to viscosity drop upon colorant addition.
• Biocides: Innovative formaldehyde-free solutions which contributes to protecting water-based coatings against microbial contaminations under even the harshest conditions.
