Teradyne,
Inc. (NYSE: TER) delivered the 500th Gen4 Microwave instrument to
Sigurd Microelectronics, a leading provider of semiconductor assembly
and test services in Taiwan. Sigurd will use the Gen4 to test devices
for mobile phones, including GSM transceivers, Bluetooth and GPS. Sigurd
selected the Gen4 after an extensive evaluation process based on its
broad market acceptance, faster time-to market and lowest cost of test.
Teradyne’s wireless device test solutions, the Gen4 Microwave and the UltraWave™
12G, cover the broadest range of complex wireless test requirements,
including wireless LAN, Bluetooth, set-top box, cellular, and emerging
standards like WiMAX® and LTE.
Sigurd will be adding the UltraWave to its portfolio to test high-end RF
devices including 3G, WiMAX, 802.11n MIMO and more.
