SouthernLINC
Wireless, a Southern Company
(NYSE: SO), today announced it has added three new Motorola phones –
the i365, i776 and i365IS – to its product
portfolio. All phone models are now available for purchase and include
the company’s premier Push To Talk two-way
radio service, which facilitates immediate, reliable and private
communications.
-
The Motorola i365 is a rubberized, highly durable monolith
phone that features a crisp and vibrant color screen, retractable
antenna, speakerphone and pre-loaded JavaTM
tools. The enhanced front-ported, high-volume audio and a stronger
vibration alert makes this phone an ideal choice for those working in
heavy-duty environments, such as construction and manufacturing. The
i365 is also GPS-enabled and supports Bluetooth®
wireless technology for hands-free connectivity.
-
The Motorola i776 is a small, stylish and lightweight flip
phone, which includes a large, internal color display, Bluetooth
technology, a 0.3 megapixel camera and GPS capabilities. With a
subscription to the Java Access plan, the phone’s
PTT Manager feature allows messages, pictures, events, My Info
contents and contact information to be sent via the Push To Talk
button.
-
The Motorola i365IS is the company’s
newest, highly durable phone that meets intrinsic safety requirements.
Intrinsically safe equipment is given an approval rating for use in
hazardous areas such as those with flammable gases or fuels. The
rubberized and durable i365IS includes a bright color screen,
Bluetooth technology, fixed antenna, improved vibration alerts, an
emergency call button, GPS, and enhanced, front-ported, high-volume
audio. Advanced features include multi-simultaneous talk-group
communication, emergency group call and status messaging capabilities.
All three new
Motorola phones are equipped with LINCaround
capabilities, which enables users to manually transfer their phones to
an off network two-way radio communication mode that can provide radio
coverage within a six-mile radius (depending on site conditions). The
i365 and i365IS are also certified to Military Standard 810F for dust,
shock, extreme temperature, low pressure, solar radiation, blowing rain,
humidity and vibration.
"We are excited to offer a selection of new
Motorola phones to our customers this fall,”
said Rodney Johnson, vice president of sales and distribution for
SouthernLINC Wireless. "These three new
phones show our commitment to offer products that are rugged and stylish
to meet the varied needs of our diverse customer base.”
